Your first weeks at uni

Starting university is an exciting new chapter. There is a lot to think about during your first few weeks, from finding your way around campus and getting to know your course, to managing your studies and settling into university life.
Use this checklist to get organised, familiarise yourself with the University and make sure you have everything in place for a confident start to your studies at London Met.
Before you start
- Complete your enrolment on e:Vision
- Make sure you have applied for your student loan
- Collect your student ID card. Visit our Enrolment for New Students page for more information, including guidance on how to take a suitable photo for your card.

If you have a disability, health condition or learning difference, register with Disabilities and Dyslexia Service (DDS) to access support.

Complete the London Met Essentials module in Weblearn. This induction module introduces university life, student responsibilities, available support services and ways to make the most of your time at London Met. You can access it shortly after you complete pre-enrolment, so log in and start exploring.
Get ready for teaching
- Familiarise yourself with the University’s online systems: Weblearn, Timetable, e:Vision and MyAttendance
- Find your classrooms and lecture halls in advance
- Connect your devices to campus WiFi (Eduroam)
- Explore your Weblearn course and module sites
- Visit the Library and explore its online resources
- Create a calendar or planner to organise your time, classes and studies
Join Welcome Week
Your academic induction and a range of social events and activities to help you settle into university life. University academic events will appear in your personal timetable, while Students' Union events can be found on the Students' Union website.
