Race Equality Charter Mark (REC)

London Met is committed to addressing inequality within our University, because of this the University's strategic plan outlines that we will develop a successful submission to the race equality charter mark (REC) by 2024. The race equality charter mark is a way to analyse, understand and address systemic racism at our University. While this is work that we are already committed to undertaking, by making a REC submission we have the added benefit of feedback on our analysis and our actions from a cross-section of professionals across UK Higher Education. Currently, we have brought together members of staff from across the University to create a self-assessment team and we are now gathering data that will help to identify issues that the University faces. This will happen in three ways and we need your help. One way in which you can support this work is by completing the race equality charter mark survey and encouraging others to do so as well.

The race equality charter mark survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey. We will be announcing the winners of the Amazon vouchers shall be contacted via their student email address by the end of April. If you have any questions about the survey then please email equity@londonmet.ac.uk.
