University life is about more than just studying and going to classes. Throughout the welcome period, there is a lot going on at the university that you can get involved in.

The Students’ Union will be out and about around the campuses ready to welcome you.

You can get all the information you need about joining sports clubs and student societies from our friendly elected Student Officers and staff. You can also find out how to get involved with Verve (the student magazine and radio station) and how to become a Student Rep for your course.

The Students' Union (Harglenis Building) is fully equipped with microwaves, sofas and a PS4!. So pop in for a coffee and a chat, find out what Give it a Go activities we have on during Welcome Week and settle into your new student life...

What are the facilities like?

We have excellent facilities to help you keep active and get fit. We run an extensive programme of fitness classes and have modern gyms with state of the art cardiovascular equipment. Our sports facilities include a full-sized basketball court, complete with scoreboard, and a dance studio.

How do I join?

We offer a generous membership package that includes access to unlimited classes and the use of both gyms which are free to all students.

Join societies, discover the perks of being a student, and learn all about everything your university has to offer. For new students, it’s the only place to truly kickstart your time at London Met, getting involved in a massive range of activities. For returning students, it’s the best way to discover some of the things you might have been missing out on... and load up on more free stuff than you can possibly carry!
