Step 4 - Social activities

University life is about more than just studying and going to classes. Throughout the welcome period, there is a lot going on at the university that you can get involved in.

The Students’ Union will be out and about around the campuses ready to welcome you.

You can get all the information you need about joining sports clubs and student societies from our friendly elected Student Officers and staff. You can also find out how to get involved with Verve (the student magazine and radio station) and how to become a student rep for your course.

At Holloway Road, the Students' Union has moved into a brand new home (fully equipped with microwaves, sofas and a PS4!). So pop in for a coffee and a chat about what we do, get your NUS extra (TOTUM) card, and let your student life begin...

 What are the facilities like?

We have excellent facilities to help you keep active and get fit. We run an extensive programme of fitness classes and have modern gyms with state of the art cardiovascular equipment. Our sports facilities include a full-sized basketball court, complete with scoreboard, and a dance studio.

How do I join?

We offer a generous membership package that includes access to unlimited classes and the use of both gyms.

We are actively encouraging students to follow us on twitter and Facebook for the most up to date information once we publish the programme, and follow/post from events using the #londonmetfreshers hashtag.
