Engagement Week
Engagement Week (6 to 10 March) is an opportunity for Level 3 (Foundation) and Level 4 (First Year) undergraduate students in particular to make sure they are on track with their studies and up to date with what is happening on their course and within the wider University community. It's also an ideal time to ask any questions you may have. Your school will be planning a variety of activities within the courses depending on which course you are studying.
In addition to the events your school is organising there are some great central events including wellbeing sessions from Student Services and a performance called MAD(E) by Mandala Theatre Comapny. There is also a Student Forum focusing on Assessment on 8 March at 1pm, please book your place here.
Details will be available on the Engagement Week RISE page soon.
MAD(E) Performance
Mandala Theatre Company and London Met School of Social Science & Professions present: MAD(E)
8 March to 10 March 2023
Three lads existing under the hostile environment, carry their worlds in an urn, a bivvy bag and soil from the Motherland, dodging a system that engulfs and traumatises them. Can Beira, a mythical female shapeshifter, help them still the glitch in their broken minds?
Shot through with a comic chorus of "pisstroughers", physical theatre, and poetry, MAD(E) is a passionate, exhilarating and uniquely theatrical commentary on masculinity and young men's mental health, co-created with boys and young men nationally.
We are all made not mad.
This free in-person theatre event will take place on the following days:
- Wednesday 8 March, 2pm and 6pm
- Thursday 9 March, 10am and 2pm (morning show is SOLD OUT)
- Friday 10 March, 10am and 2pm
The event will take place in The Great Hall at London Met, 166-220 Holloway Road, London, N7 8DB. It is accessible via our Rocket entrance (also known as our clocktower entrance).
