There are currently 3 positions (President, Secretary and Treasurer) available for the Green Society.

About the Green Society:

Green Society was developed for like-minded students to come together to cultivate an environmentally friendly outlook whilst at University and for life. We believe this will raise the conscious awareness of environmental issues and enable students to take an interest in tackling them. This Society and University encourages a more intentional lifestyle in regards to the environment.

We will promote this lifestyle and awareness by providing events, discussions, educational workshops and various activities focusing on creating a healthier and more sustainable environment.

Furthermore, we will be working with the London Metropolitan University Sustainability Team to continue making environmental changes within the University. Sustainability Team will provide ongoing support helping to get external speakers and give advice as well as involve society in activities such as Green Week of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Come and join us to create greener days here at the University! Everyone is welcome!

About joining ESMT:

We meet around 4 - 6 times per year. The main purpose of the group is to develop and implement ideas to help reduce the environmental impact of the University. The main focus of the group over the last few years has been to implement the University's carbon management plan and meet the reduction targets but now we would like to expand the group and look at other ideas.

If there is a certain interest you have such as increasing recycling, cycling, biodiversity, food, community involvement in environmental projects etc then we would look at that. It's also a forum where you can raise issues that you might have seen across the University.
