DDS Study skills workshops
Pass or fail? Great study skills can make a difference! The Disabilities and Dyslexia Service are running 6 small group workshops. Our lunchtime workshops are designed with dyslexia in mind. If you are interested in boosting your academic confidence, developing your skills and learning about new approaches to study then come along!

When are the 2018/19 study skills workshops?
Overview of study skills followed by instruction and topic words
Wednesday 7th November at 1pm to 2:30pm
Writing skills: cautious and critical writing
Wednesday 14th November at 1pm to 2:30pm
Writing Skills: plagiarism and critical writing
Wednesday 21st November at 1pm to 2:30pm
Research skills: locating information with search engines and library catalogues
Wednesday 28th November at 1pm to 2:30pm
Structuring writing: making a plan from your assignment brief
Wednesday 5th December at 1pm to 2:30pm
Structuring writing: using your essay plan, structuring paragraphs and using mind maps
Wednesday 12th December at 1pm to 2:30pm
Where are the workshops?
All our DDS study skills workshops take place in TM1-44
Do I need to book?
There's no need to book, just turn up at 5 minutes before the session starts. Spaces are on a first come first served basis.
