Welcome to London Metropolitan University's Special Collections. These collections - which include the University Archive - constitute a valuable resource for research activity in a number of areas for students, staff and external visitors. They are 'special' as, in many cases, component materials are unique and, therefore, irreplaceable.

Further information is available on the history of the University's Special Collections.

Staff and Students of the University are welcome to visit the Special Collections Reading Room (situated on the Second Floor of the Wash Houses) during opening hours and without an appointment. However, as much of the holdings of the Special Collections are not immediately accessible, we do require that, in cases where specific materials for study have been identified, visitors contact us in advance of their visit so that arrangements may be made for their retrieval, where necessary.

Admission for external visitors and SCONUL Access Scheme members is by appointment only. To enquire about an appointment please contact us via: specialcollections@londonmet.ac.uk
