Other university libraries and SCONUL Access Scheme
Following recent developments with the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we've taken the decision to close all University buildings at 5pm on Friday 20 March.
All our Library sites will also be closed from Friday 20th March. Library sites both Holloway Road Library and Aldgate Library will be closed to all students, Sconul access card holders and visitors until further notice.
London Metropolitan University is a member of SCONUL Access scheme. This enables university students and staff to use other university libraries for reference. Staff, postgraduate and part-time undergraduate students may also be able to obtain borrowing rights, although this will vary between individual libraries.
The scheme covers most of the university libraries in the UK and Ireland so have a look at participating libraries. You will not be able to access their subscribed e-journals, databases or other e-resources.
Register to join the scheme by using the Sconul Access application form and submit your application.
- You do not need to make multiple applications.
- Providing your library account shows no overdue items or outstanding charges you will receive an e-mail showing acceptance of your application.
- Print the acceptance e-mail and take it with your staff/student card to the institution you wish to join.
