Get Ready to Learn

Once you have registered for your modules a personal timetable will be generated for you (Chrome or Firefox browsers recommended). More information about how timetables are produced and accessed is available in the course and module information pages.

Weblearn is the name of the Virtual Learning Environment (or VLE) at London Metropolitan University. It is the online area that supports your learning and assessment all the way through your course. Even before teaching begins, you can use Weblearn to get ready for your studies.

Login to Weblearn with your University username (format: ABC1234) and password: https://bblearn.londonmet.ac.uk

Don't forget to personalise your Weblearn Profile with a photo or image, pronouns info and details of how to pronounce your name so that your lecturers and fellow students will know who you are!

You can find more information on how to use Weblearn on our Online Learning pages.

London Met provides recordings of the content presented to students during a lecture. Interactive elements of a lecture, seminars and tutorial sessions are not commonly recorded.

You can find recordings within your Weblearn modules.

If a lecture or event is streamed live as a Panopto webcast this will also appear within your Weblearn module.

MSTeams is the web conferencing system used at London Met for online events and sessions. Teams can also be used for communication and collaboration.

As a London Met student you have access to Teams for Education and you will be able to login with your London Met email (format username@my.londonmet.ac.uk) and password.

Teams also has an app which you can download on your computer or mobile device.

Download the Teams app.

You will need to register your attendance at lectures and seminars using MyAttendance. This is particularly important for international students.

You can access MyAttendance using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. At the start of every session, your lecturer will issue you a unique four-digit code. Access MyAttendance via:

  • The MyLondon Met App
  • Quicklinks on the Student Zone
  • londonmet.studygoal.jisc.ac.uk
  • Enter the four-digit code and click the 'check-in' button

You can find more information on how to record your attendance and why we do it, visit the MyStudies pages.

If your course requires specialist software a licence will be provided for you. Check out these listings for full information on how to access this.
