Fuel your day the London Met way!

In partnership with BaxterStorey, our on-campus catering is designed to keep you energised, caffeinated, and well fed from your first lecture to your final deadline.

At Holloway, the Met Cafe offers all your hot food favourites with a bi-weekly lunch menu plus grab-and-go snacks available throughout the day. The Rocket is your go-to spot for excellent coffee and quick bites on the move.

Over at Aldgate, the Atrium provides coffee and grab-and-go options in a bright, social space, while Shoreditch and the Learning Centre feature convenient refreshment hubs perfect for a quick study break.

We are planning to create our gardening club, with the goal of establishing an on-site garden where we can cultivate our own food and collaborate with the sustainability team.

Throughout this year, we will be working with BaxterStorey; we plan to further develop menus, flavours and styles of service to create a new catering strategy that will take us into a new long-term contract tender. We need your input and feedback to make this work. To let us know what you think, scan the QR codes in the catering outlets or drop us an email at catering@londonmet.ac.uk.

We will be commencing the Catering Working Group, made up of staff and students, to discuss our needs, and you can complete our survey to give your opinions on our catering needs.

Notice: Changes to Catering Service

To better manage our costs, we encourage you to consider alternative options when planning hospitality for your events or meetings. Should you require hospitality services, please contact:

Please note that all hospitality requests will be evaluated based on current demand, and approval is not guaranteed.

Hospitality Policy Guidelines

Internal Meetings:

  • Refreshments should only be ordered for meetings involving University staff if the meeting is scheduled to last more than four hours.

Meetings with External Attendees:

  • Refreshments and lunch may be provided for meetings with external guests. Key considerations include:
    • The ratio of external guests to LMU staff.
    • The prestige and expectations of the event.
    • Potential to enhance the University's reputation or profile.
    • Potential to generate income for the University.
    • Alignment with the University's strategic aims.

When requesting hospitality for external meetings, please include a rationale explaining how the event will:

  • Enhance the student experience.
  • Generate income.
  • Improve the University's reputation and profile.
  • Support further strategic aims.
  • Foster community engagement.

For requests funded by your departmental budget, contact catering@londonmet.ac.uk for a quote and ensure a PO is raised before confirmation.

If additional event support is required, please refer to the Events Guide for further information.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
