CLOSURE AND REFURBISHMENT
Period of relocation
Due to the relocation of Special Collections to the Holloway Road Learning Centre, we will temporarily be closed from August 2024 and will operate a limited enquiry service via email, during this period.
Period of refurbishment
Following our relocation, we will continue to offer inductions and class workshops for students and staff at Aldgate Library. General access to collections will be appointment-only for all users. Due to the refurbishment of our new Reading Room, onsite access will temporarily be limited in capacity. More detailed information will be provided during the booking process. During this period, we will use temporary offsite storage for part of our collections. This will require users to book 48-72 hours in advance of their visit.
Online appointments
Researchers will be able to book a one-hour timeslot to view Special Collections' material remotely. Consultation via email prior to booking your appointment is requested. Online appointments can be facilitated using an on-site visualiser and delivered via MS Teams.
Thank you for patience and co-operation during this period of change. Please continue to check our website and social media for all updates about our planned relocation. For all enquiries please email – specialcollections@londonmet.ac.uk
