Work Related Modules
Improve your career and get real experience through your Work-Related Learning module options!
Graduates with work experience are more likely to get into the career they want, so as part of our 'Student Promise' to you, we are ensuring all our undergraduates undertake practical, career enhancing modules as part of your studies. (For some of you this will be already integrated into your course).
For those of you who have received a "Module Selection" notification and have 15 credit module options - this will state where you need to opt for a Work-Related Learning module which will have a 'W' in the code - either as an Extension of Knowledge module or a standard option. For a 'work placement / experience' module, look for an option / core alternate module with a 'W' in the code e.g. XX5W55 or XX6W55. You are only required to undertake one Work-Related Learning module during your course programme.
Speak to your Personal Academic Tutor for more information before making your module choices.
Please note, to help you find a work placement the University will advertise suitable opportunities and provide guidance on completing application processes to apply for the roles. For business start-ups, the University will support you in realising your business idea. Please note that we cannot guarantee work placement experience or new business opportunities, but will support you throughout in realising your work-related learning goals. Please contact the Careers and Employability team as soon as you have registered your work-related learning modules.
